Incentives
Both options listed below are programs funded by NYSERDA, a NYS organization, that provides energy saving measures either at 100% FREE or 50/50% split funding levels. More information is listed below about each.
Empower+ Tier 1
Empower+ Tier 3
EmPower NY - Low Income
• For households with income less than or equal to 60% of the State Median Income.
• No-cost for services up to $10,000 worth of funding.
• No-cost comprehensive home energy assessment.
• Projects that do not reach the thresholds for income will be moved to AHP (Assisted home Performance- Tier 3)
Assisted Home Performance with ENERGY STAR – Moderate Income
• For households with income less than or equal to 80% of the State or Area Median Income, whichever is greater.
• No-cost comprehensive home energy assessments.
• Discount of up to 50% of eligible work and cap of work is up to $10,000
Both programs offer incentives for insulation, air sealing, health and safety, heating appliances, and electrical reduction.
